Introduction

My first memory

Many people say that they don’t remember their first memory. But I do. I remember it flashing in my mind when I was around 11 years old, very clearly. First it was a sensation, a feeling, an emotion and then the full vision appeared in my mind. The feeling of love was attached to it. Fortunately, I would later find the photo of that moment. It was from a very different angle then how I saw remembered it. Of course it was. Because it is a picture not a memory.

I’m sharing parts of my autobiographical book that I have written a few years ago to start editing and preparing it for publishing. There is a lot of work to be done but I find it cathartic and rewarding to do it in this way.
